My Super Exciting Life
Well… this week my husband came home!! He’s been away for four months at work so it has been awesome to have him back! Because my birthday is coming up soon and I had two days off school, we spent Wednesday birthday shopping. I got a few new outfits, a new book, and a new Disney Infinity character! On Friday my brother came to spend the night and ended up going to class with me. I’m sure he’s regretting that decision. Saturday my brother and I got up early and went to a library book sale (details below). Later in the afternoon we went out for an early birthday lunch with my family where I got early birthday presents and ate some really awesome cupcakes! Afterwards we watched The Avengers, which I’ve been avoiding for three years for some reason… And now it’s back to reality.
New Book Buys
This week started with book mail from Stormy Smith!! I won a signed copy of Bound by Spells in a contest and I’m so excited to own the hard copy! I purchased the complete H.P. Lovecraft after being convinced that I really need to check his work out! Then was the library book sale…
I got some really great deals, but there was also some really annoying pricing… There was a YA room where I found a couple things, but then I found tons of YA books in the “adult” room. When I got to the table to pay I told them the books were YA, but they insisted that because they were in the adult room they were priced at the adult rate. So I got half of what I had originally intended. Oh well. I left with the Eragon series, Digital Fortress, a few YA ARCs, and a couple classics.
And THEN was my birthday lunch! My brother got me The Hunger Games trilogy and the Wheel of Time series prequel. I was super surprised that my parents got me books too!! The Program and the Treatment, which I can’t wait to read! I’d say it was a pretty amazing week!
