My Super Exciting Life

A couple actual exciting things have happened this week! Well, exciting for me… I’m kind of a boring person.

Number one is that I started a new feature on the blog! It’s called Paper to Popcorn and it will be either a bi-weekly or monthly feature (I haven’t quite decided) that pits a book and a movie against each other in a showdown. Rather than being your typical book vs. movie adaptation posts, I’m hoping this one will be a little different in that it will rate books and movies on their own merits rather than solely on how well the movie followed the source material. Although my first post was Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone book vs. movie, the next one I’m doing will be a Phantom of the Opera retelling vs. the 2004 film. In that case, neither is the source material. Hopefully this feature is fun to read because I’m having a lot of fun writing it!

Number two is that I’m venturing into the great unknown of entrepreneurship! Here’s hoping I don’t crash and burn…  This venture happens to be a YA inspired candle shop! So far I have a few candles listed for purchase, which are inspired by The Selection, The Fault in Our Stars, Percy Jackson, and Harry Potter. More will be listed throughout the week! It’s quite overwhelming when you see all of the other people on Etsy with products for sale, but I’m hoping it all works out! I would be forever grateful if you could spread the world! 😀

Not much book purchasing has occurred this week, but I’m hoping to make up for it soon… Soon!
