This week was incredibly uneventful, which is my favorite kind of week to have. I did a little work, played a little at Epcot, and got to spend some time with friends. Mostly I just hung out at home and relaxed though. (Introvert paradise!) Unfortunately, I didn’t get much reading done. I’m STILL struggling to get out of a funk after A Court of Mist and Fury. It’s awful. This week I started reading four different books and made it about 30% through each of them. Today I’m going to sit down and force myself to actually finish something and hopefully cure myself for good!
The highlight of the week was going to my very first book signing! Maggie Stiefvater was in town on Thursday night for the last stop of her tour for The Raven King. She’s actually a really cool, down to earth person, and I absolutely adored how comfortable she was being exactly who she is. I could really use some of that confidence myself sometimes! She told some hilarious stories, answered a few questions, and then began the hour-long line to meet her and have books signed. She is the first popular YA author I know of that has come to Orlando since I moved here and I’m hoping there will be more later this year!
