My Super Exciting Life

Well, this was a fairly calm week until yesterday when I got a Book Depository order in the mail. Yesterday was extremely annoying. Let me fill you in on my Book Depository drama. On July 11th I placed my first order through Book Depository for two Harry Potter books with UK covers. I received it on July 23rd. One of the books was great, but the other was damaged – the dust jacket was slashed. I contacted Book Depository and was told they would immediately send a replacement. It finally came today, August 8th. It wasn’t even Harry Potter, although the packing slip said it was.

I have emailed Book Depository again (they haven’t emailed back yet), but at this point I’m just terribly annoyed. I’ve been waiting almost a month to get an undamaged copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban. And they couldn’t even be bothered to send the first book in the wrong series! I can’t even read this. -_-

I’m also a little concerned because two days ago I ordered the next two books (assuming this issue was taken care of). I’d honestly like to cancel that order and buy them from someone else, but there’s not even a cancel button on their website so I guess I’ll just wait until someone decides to email me back. Why have I not heard of these kinds of issues before? They actually have pretty terrible reviews…

But there is good news! I did get an offer on my car and am going to meet with the buyer on Monday to see what we can work out, so yay! Speaking of selling cars… holy crap I have had to adult so much lately. I’m honestly just tired of being grown. I want to do nothing and not have to deal with bills and selling cars and buying tires. Ugh. Never grow up, kids!

The only super exciting thing that has happened this week is that my husband and I have seriously started talking about moving to Florida sooner rather than later. Sooner as in November! We’re looking at some Orlando suburbs, trying to find the safest neighborhoods. I’m also really thinking about applying to work with Disney, so yay for that! If I have to have a job it might as well be at the happiest place on earth, right?
